High Weald Walkers

General Walk Information

We organise walks of differing lengths during the week, all year round:

Sundays

  • An afternoon walk of about 5 miles.

Tuesdays

  • A Short walk of about 5 miles.
  • An Intermediate walk of between 7 and 9 miles.
  • A Long walk - upto 12 miles.

Almost all our walks are circular, except for the very long ones, with either a pub lunch or a picnic lunch, (or the option of either), on certain walks as indicated in the list. There is, of course, no objection to bringing a packed lunch where only a pub lunch is indicated, but you will not usually be able to eat it at the pub.

To help combat global pollution, and to avoid car-parking problems at the start of the walks, we try to take as few cars as possible, and give lifts in order to fill those cars that do go.

We expect regular walkers to be members of the Ramblers' Association, but we welcome anyone wishing to see if our walks are for them.

  • Walks will not take place if, in the Leader's opinion, climatic conditions are not suitable.
  • Please contact 01342 825518 for specific walk data.
  • Well-behaved dogs allowed ONLY by prior consent of the walk leader. Phone 01342 825518.
  • It has been suggested by the Rambler's Association that everyone should carry their own First Aid Kit.
  • High Weald Walkers and its representatives will not be held liable for any loss, injury, accident, damage, delay or inconvenience to any person or their property during club functions. Every person participating in any club function shall be regarded in every respect as carrying his or her own risks in respect of injury and/or damage to persons or their property.
